ABOUT Score Magazine:
The objective of Score Magazine is to bring the residents of Second Life information about all that is musical. Each issue will share with our readers interesting articles about music history, terminology, and of course the numerous live musicians and music venues on the grid. We will discover together why Second Life is so rich in music and creativity!
Within the pages of this issue, you will discover information about the SL International Symphony Orchestra which highlights upcoming concerts, the featured soloists, and the numerous SL ISO actors. Also, you will find interviews with Second Life’s talented composers, live musicians, and entertainers. Each issue will feature soloists, and the numerous SL ISO actors. Also, you will find interviews with SL’s talented composers, live musicians, and entertainers. Each issue will feature educational articles, video-based interviews, photographers, and venues all with a musical focus. Music is only one portion of the entire creative process, so naturally, our magazine’s holistic approach includes poetry, works of art, photography, and links to music.
We hope in this issue, and issues to come we can not only entertain but also inform our readers by offering insightful, creative visual, audio, and engaging written articles. Our hope is that Score Magazine will bring our readers useful information that enriches their lives.
Foreword:
Music is undeniably powerful, with the ability to transport us instantly to a memory or feeling. Music can affect our emotions, often communicating without words. It can make us shiver, or even cry, bringing our emotions physically to the surface. Music unites us where often words cannot, communicating our deep authentic feelings, and releasing dopamine and endorphins. I am honored and excited to bring Score Magazine to our valued readers of SL. Music has such a strong and meaningful impact on people, often credited with communicating emotions, evoking a physical reaction, and bonding people as a common language. Music exists in almost every community of Second Life, where Linden Labs have created a canvas upon which dreams are painted with the strokes of imagination.
Score Magazine showcases musicians, composers, writers, photographers, and artists across the grid and hopefully be a resource for our readers to expand their musical adventures. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to: our editor Liandra Aries, for her unwavering commitment, to the members of the SL International Symphony Orchestra, and Leninah Starlight for her passionate and dedicated support of the SL ISO & Score Magazine.
“When imagination meets a passion for music, magic happens.”
Sincerely,
Fly Kugin
