WHO IS MERRYJEST STARCHILD?
Merryjest’s love for music began at a young age. His musical taste was shaped by many influences—French singer-songwriters like Michel Sardou, classical composers like Mozart, and the rock music his older brother played. His first record purchases—ABBA, a Donizetti opera, and Enya—show just how varied his inspirations are. As a classically trained crossover singer and lyrical tenor, Merryjest often performs pieces like “Una Furtiva Lagrima” (L’Elisir D’Amore), “Losing My Mind” (Follies), and “Nessun Dorma.” One of his most popular acts is his original parody song, “Second Side of Life,” which humorously reflects on Second Life experiences. Merryjest joined Second Life in 2004 and started performing there in 2010. Known for his colorful outfits and multimedia shows, he actively engages with his audience, just as he does in his real-life performances.
